The Bend-based reggae group 2ND HAND SOLDIERS was formed by inspired singer Darian Mahaney and her dad JC, aka John Collins, on the guitar in 2007. The band has acquired its own sound influenced by it diverse addition of members; 2nd Hand Soldiers draws from pop, reggae and R&B, and their performances showcase a wide variety of sounds and grooves!

Local musicians Brian Hinderberger and Jason Schweitzer’s new project, THE RUM AND THE SEA is a collaborative effort in which both Bend-based Singer/Songwriters attempt to create emotional, stripped down music that has its roots in Folk. Hinderberger began performing for shipmates while on board a navy Warship later performing all over Oregon both in bands and as a soloist. Schweitzer began his career in the wild desert nights of California, and has been a part of the local music scene in Bend for some years now. When the two decided to work together musically, The Rum And The Sea was born. Bass player Richard Myers joined the band early on to complete the trio as it stands today.
